In this rare occasion, everyone but me has gone to bed (normaly, it is me that might go to bed the same time as the kids). But tonight I came home and everyone was asleep but me.
Now I am sitting in my living room, listening to Kiefer Sutherland and feeling good.
Today was mixed, as I had to go to a funeral - my best friend's mum had passed away. I was lucky I could go there (usually Friday is packed with teaching but today because of a conference, no teaching :-)). It was a wonderful yet sad funeral and wheh I came home, I was kind of - angry, in a way. But my lovely husband took that anger from me by listening to me rambling for a time and them taking me by the and and making music with me. Great fun! I left home feeling tranquil again, to meet with a fairly new friend of mine, and we had a lovely dinner and great conversations and dreams of taking horse tour through Namibia, maybe, someday, just lovely. Had a great conversation with the taxi driver, who said that if he had facebook, he would friend me :-)
A busy weekend lies before me, and as much as I would love to have just nothing to do, I thank the Lord for still being able to visit my Grandma and my parents and having so many lovely people in my life.

Thanks! A good start was made - a lovely stroll around our local city festivities with good friends :-)

Ze spouse had planned a full day-hike far away, but a tropical storm moved in, & all the places he'd hoped to hike were right where the rain was supposed to be heaviest. It's good weather locally, & we were able to get in our last walk for the week. It's been very overcast all week, so the nature preserve looked like a cave. One morning this week, we even saw two deer walking and grazing in the woods! [Usually, deer hide during the day & come out at night.]

We had lovely weather until Thursday, now it is rather wet and rainy...
We planned to go bike into town, but I have to admit that I hate getting wet, so it will be the car instead...

It was beautiful and sunny here all day yesterday, so ze spouse could have had his hike after all. He was rather miffed. I laughed, because I'm kind like that. ;)

Now it's all overcast & rainy here, too. I knew great minds thought alike, but sharing the same weather?

We had 1/2 hour of heavy rain a couple of hours ago. Now, he's on his way home, expecting a walk. There may be mud. I still have to wear a sun hat, though.
